
According to Shanghai Metals Market, stocks of aluminium billet across five major consumption areas in China reduced by 3,900 tonnes from a week ago. The inventories came in at 232,900 tonnes as of Thursday March 18.

Inventories of aluminium billets in Huzhou witnessed the highest drop. The stocks dropped by 5,000 tonnes from March 11 to stand at 24,000 tonnes on March 18. Stocks in Changzhou stood at 22,600 tonnes. That was down by 2,000 tonnes from March 11.
Stocks of aluminium billets in Foshan, Wuxi and Nanchang built up by 800 tonnes, 2,100 tonnes and 200 tonnes from March 11 to stand at 110,600 tonnes, 62,900 tonnes and 12,800 tonnes on Thursday, 18 March 2021.
