Chinalco Henan Luoyang Aluminium Foil Co. obtained invention patent authorization

In August, Chinalco Henan Luoyang Aluminium Foil Co. submitted a patent application titled "A measuring device and method for assessing parallelism in a rolling mill roll system." The invention patent was granted authorisation after a thorough examination by China's State Intellectual Property Office.

This patent invention introduces a novel method for ensuring the parallelism of guide rollers in a rolling mill archway. The approach employs two flat rulers securely affixed to both the transmission and operation sides of the archway as reference points. During the measurement process, the horizontal measuring rod is positioned at the shortest point where it touches the flat ruler, and the discrepancy between the data on the transmission side and the operation side is noted. Based on this data, adjustments are made to the guide rollers' positions until alignment is achieved.

The key advantages of this invention include its straightforward structure, ease of implementation, and the convenience and speed it brings to the measurement process. It has been rigorously tested and demonstrated to provide a high level of measurement accuracy, ensuring precision down to 0.01 mm.
