
Central Motor Wheel of America Inc. will expand manufacturing capacity at its aluminium wheel facility in Paris to meet customer demand for aluminium wheels. The company will add 145 full-time jobs as part of a $111.9 million investment, Governor Matt Bevin announced on Thursday, June 27.

Governor Matt Bevin said: “Kentucky’s automotive industry remains in high gear, and this expansion by Central Motor Wheel of America is the latest example of a thriving industry.”
“The Bourbon County community will benefit greatly from this substantial job creation as CMWA increases production to better serve customers. We are grateful for the company’s commitment to the commonwealth and for its significant impact within Kentucky’s automotive industry.”
The expansion project will increase the company’s production by 50%. Production is anticipated to begin in in July 2021.
CMWA Executive Vice President Jeff Birdsong commented: “We are extremely excited to get our expansion project underway. This project will expand our production capacity to support our customers’ increased demand for aluminium wheels in North America. Our new facility will be more streamlined and equipped with the latest technologies.”
Central Motor Wheel of America, Inc (CMWA), located in Paris, Kentucky, manufactures and supplies aluminium and steel wheels to its customers for over 30 years. The company’s aluminium and steel facilities use advanced engineering and production techniques to produce the highest quality wheels available. CMWA produces aluminium wheels exclusively for both the Toyota and Lexus brands.
