Establishment of the new trade centre at Geelong is another way of consolidating Capral Aluminium’s presence in regional Victoria. This marks a significant development for the company as it seeks to extend its reach to serve the needs of regional Victoria. This is just one more step taken by the company in investing in the Australian manufacturing industry.

The Geelong aluminium trade centre has been established to improve access to a comprehensive range of aluminium products for local businesses, manufacturers, fabricators and tradespeople. Customers will benefit from a wide selection of aluminium extrusions, sheet, plate and rolled products, supported by expert local assistance and Capral’s extensive national supply network.

The expansion also builds on Capral’s earlier efforts to strengthen its position in Victoria. On March 20, 2024, Capral Aluminium acquired Victoria-based Aluminium Trade Centre (ATC) to strengthen its aluminium supply and distribution network in Australia. The acquisition expanded Capral’s presence in Victoria, improving access to extruded and rolled aluminium products.

CEO Tony Dragicevich said the move would enhance service efficiency and support manufacturers with better product availability. The Geelong trade centre further reinforces this regional growth strategy by increasing accessibility and improving customer service across the state. Capral Aluminium General Manager Southern Region, Peter Darvell, highlighted the significance of the expansion and the advantages it will bring to local industries.

“Geelong is an incredibly important and growing region for Victorian manufacturing, construction and trade, and we are very excited to establish a stronger local presence here,” he said.

“Our new aluminium trade centre gives local customers access to a broad range of aluminium extrusions, sheet and plate products supported by local service, technical expertise and the reliability of Capral’s national network.”

Darvell added the Geelong operation would help improve supply responsiveness and strengthen support for customers across a wide range of industries and applications.

“One of the major advantages we bring is the combination of local service with national capability,” he said.

“Customers will benefit from access to one of Australia’s most comprehensive aluminium product ranges, supported by warehousing, distribution and manufacturing capability right across the country. Whether it’s a small fabrication job, residential project or large industrial application, we are committed to helping customers access the products and support they need.”

He said that customers would benefit from access to one of Australia’s most comprehensive aluminium product ranges, supported by warehousing, distribution and manufacturing capability across the country. He added that whether it was a small fabrication job, residential project or large industrial application, the company remained committed to helping customers access the products and support they needed.
