Supported by the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone, with ALSTAL Grupa Budowlana appointed as the general contractor responsible for the construction phase, the facility will generate over 100 new job opportunities in the region. Currently, Canpack’s Bydgoszcz plant employs more than 470 people.

“CANPACK’s latest investment project, valued at approximately PLN 440 million, reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to the development of Poland’s packaging sector and is focused on meeting the growing demand from its European customers. The project will increase CANPACK’s current production capacity of aluminium beverage cans in the region by more than one billion cans annually, with further growth potential in the future. The planned project will involve the expansion of the plant’s infrastructure with a new production hall, the acquisition of state-of-the-art machinery and equipment, along with the upgrade of the existing production lines. Production operations are expected to start in the second quarter of 2026,” said Marian Miskov, Member of the Management Board of CANPACK S.A. and Regional Director for Poland.

The Canpack factory expansion will be overseen by ALSTAL Grupa Budowlana, one of Poland’s leading construction firms, known for its vast expertise in industrial development. The project will also include the redevelopment of Kobaltowa Street, featuring the construction of parking areas, sidewalks, and a dedicated cycle path.

“The choice of Bydgoszcz as the site for CANPACK’s new project aligns with the Group’s long-term strategy designed to deliver the highest-quality packaging products to meet the growing needs of customers in Poland and across Europe. The expansion and installation of advanced technologies at the Bydgoszcz plant will not only markedly strengthen the plant’s can production capabilities but also allow the company to introduce a broader range of innovative aluminium packaging solutions. We have been present in Bydgoszcz for nearly 25 years. We are glad that this new project will contribute to the region’s economic development and ultimately create new jobs,” added Małgorzata Podrecka, Vice President of Canpack.

“Constructing the production and warehouse hall for CANPACK is a project that fits perfectly with our expertise in the industrial construction sector. As the General Contractor, we will build a facility with a volume exceeding 215,000 cubic meters and a floor area of nearly 19,000 square meters. This project holds special significance for us, as it is being developed in Bydgoszcz, the city where ALSTAL’s headquarters are located. We thank CANPACK for their trust – we will do our best to complete this project on time, safely and to the highest standards,” said Jarosław Szczupak, President of ALSTAL Grupa Budowlana.
