Bridgnorth Aluminium expansion to generate new job opportunities

Bridgnorth Aluminium said their investment of £41m for expansion of an aluminium plant based in Shropshire will open up 65 jobs. The company will extend lithosheet rolling mill as well as the finishing line with the introduction of new machines for operations by 2015 end.
The company also plans to build a new research as well as development laboratory and it will start its operations in May.
The investment would double the capacity of the plant to about 75,000 tons per year, said the company.
The plant makes coiled aluminium for food, graphics and pharmaceutical and industries. It has currently about 300 employees.
Last year the project at Stourbridge Road created 35 new jobs.
"More than £100m has come into Bridgnorth in terms of investment since 2001 and we've steadily built the company up," managing director Simon MacVicker said.
Elval S.A, a German based firm is a major owner of the company.
