
Ball Corporation will make an investment of $51.8 million for the construction of new distribution center in northwest Georgia. The investment will allow the company to buy 109-acre site for the center. It will also create jobs for 70 people.

The company will construct a 750,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution center on the site.The Rome-Floyd County Development Authority and Development Authority of Floyd County agreed to the deal, The Rome News-Tribune reported.
Ball Corporation, which a container plant and recyclable aluminium cup manufacturing plan, will build the facility in not less than five miles from the site.
The company will pay in lieu of taxes of $64,813 annually for 10 years to the Rome-Floyd County Development Authority.
Ball will get 100% tax abatement in the first three years. The company will receive a 75% tax break in next three years, then a 50% tax break for years seven though nine and a 25% break in year 10.
