
The value of Bahrain’s exports of national origin increased 59 per cent in April 2021 to BD295 million ($778 million), of which unwrought aluminium alloys accounted for BD54 million and aluminium wire non-alloyed BD12 million. During the same month last year, Bahrain’s export value of national origin stood at BD186 million.

The top 10 countries accounted for 81 per cent of Bahrain's total export value, with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) ranking first by importing worth BD57 million. Egypt BD38 million, and the UAE BD36 million.
The total value of re-exports grew 39 per cent to reach BD53 million during April 2021, compared to BD38 million during the same period last year. The top countries accounted for 87 per cent, of which the UAE ranked first with BD19 million, KSA second with BD14 million, and Hong Kong third with BD4 million.
Meanwhile, the value of imports amounted to BD457 million during the said month, up 26 per cent year-on-year from BD362 million. Imports of aluminium oxide accounted for BD21 million of Bahrain’s total import value.
Brazil ranked the first contributing BD78 million to Bahrain’s import value, followed by China with BD60 million and the United Arab Emirates with BD29 million.
