ARABAL 2019 concludes successfully in Bahrain with 500 conference delegates and 750 exhibition attendees

23rd ARABAL Conference and Exhibition held from 19 – 21 November under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and organised by Aluminium Bahrain (ALBA), successfully concluded in Bahrain with over 500 conference delegates and more than 750 exhibition attendees. The event was officially inaugurated by the Deputy Prime Minister, His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa on behalf of His Royal Highness the Prime Minister. The event also organized workshops, site visits and networking events.
"This Conference is the most prominent event for the aluminium industry in the Middle East bringing together industry experts and thought leaders from across the world, which underlines Bahrain’s leading position in hosting events of such calibre," His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa said.
Experts from a broad spectrum of the aluminium industry gathered to discuss the theme of 2019 edition - Shaping the Future of Aluminium in the Arab Region through a series of informative talks and highlighted the development in the Aluminium industry.
ARABAL 2019 conference covered several topics, including the following:
- Innovation in Aluminium and advanced applications
- Bahrain after line 6 - growth of downstream and anticipated challenges
- Impact of current economic challenges on the Aluminium Industry
- Outlook for the global Aluminium industry
- Warehousing and price trends
- Energy efficiency and its impact on energy costs
- Investing in upstream: opportunities and risks
- Environment, sustainability and recycling
- Safety as a driver for growth and success

The two-day, international exhibition gathered specialists from the complete industry spectrum – upstream, midstream and downstream. Exhibitors got the chance to:

- Meet face-to-face with buyers and investors
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and innovations
- Take advantage of the excellent networking and business opportunities
The event also hosted two workshops on the following topics:
- Aluminium Premiums - utilizing independent reference prices (assessed by PRAs) and exchange-listed premiums contracts.
