Alupro, the association dedicated to recycling aluminium packaging, will present its most recent consumer awareness campaigns and innovative educational efforts at the next LARAC Conference. The recycling and waste management event is scheduled at The Hilton Metropole in Birmingham on 11-12 October. This gathering aims to convene several local authority leaders from various regions in the United Kingdom. The primary focus of this event will be to engage in discussions on policy, funding, collaboration, and best practices within the field.

Tom Giddings, executive director at Alupro, said, "The LARAC Conference brings together representatives from every local authority across the UK to discuss, debate and learn more about the most important waste management updates – from policy changes and funding opportunities, to possibilities for collaboration and best practice case studies. The event provides a unique opportunity to present our latest awareness campaigns and educational initiatives, as well as share the positive impacts of our latest collaborations."
Throughout the event, delegates will have the opportunity to speak with the Alupro team about MetalMatters, a direct engagement initiative designed to encourage households to recycle their metal packaging at the kerbside; #FoilFriday, a free and downloadable campaign to promote aluminium foil recycling; and Alupro's range of curriculum-linked education campaigns aimed at helping future generations be more sustainable. Alupro will also organise a promotional event where a fortunate participant will be awarded a lavish assortment of aluminium-packaged products as a prize.
