Nanshan Group, the largest aluminium producer in China, has yet again appeared in the list of Top 500 Chinese Companies declared by China Enterprise Confederation and China Entrepreneurs Association. They jointly released the list of "Top 500 Chinese Enterprises in 2023" and "Top 500 China Manufacturing Enterprises in 2023", along with the top 100 multinational companies in China and their transnational indexes.

Nanshan Group won the 197th rank in the "Top 500 Chinese Enterprises in 2023", 24 places higher than the previous year. For the second category "Top 500 Manufacturing Enterprises in China in 2023", Nanshan Group ranked 95th, up 6 places from the earlier year.
Nanshan Group also ranked among the top 100 multinational Chinese companies in 2023 and the 80th in the transnational index.
Nanshan Group has made it to the Top 500 Chinese Companies for years now for its strong comprehensive strength and good development momentum. It is also the result of Nanshan's diversified business strategies and zeal for technological innovation.
The Group has recently announced its plan to expand its new Indonesian alumina refinery to a $6 billion aluminium smelting complex by 2028, which would be among the largest foreign investments in the resource-rich nation. Nanshan started this alumina refinery in November 2022 at the Galang Batang Special Economic Zone (SEZ) on the island of Bintan. The refinery sources bauxite from Indonesia's Kalimantan region and exports the output (alumina) to Malaysia and other international traders.
