Panoramic Growth Equity has supported the Lisburn-based stockholding firm, Aluminium & Plastic Solutions (APS), which sells PVCu and aluminium materials to the building sector. With this agreement, Panoramic has now made two investments in Northern Ireland.
APS was founded in 2000 and specialises in architectural aluminium glazing solutions for residential and commercial structures. The firm also carries a variety of windows, doors, louvres, roof lanterns, rainwater systems, aluminium and steel sheets and extrusions, and aluminium and PVC fascias.
Alan Denver and Ivan Bradford, two of the initial stockholders, were able to leave their operational positions at APS thanks to Panoramic's investment.
"Chris and I are delighted to have been backed by Panoramic and believe they will be a strong partner for APS through the next stage of its development. I would like to thank Alan Denver and Ivan Bradford for their hard work at APS since the company was founded,” said Gary McNeil.
Gary McNeill, managing director, and Chris Du Boulay, sales director, will continue to lead the business with help from Panoramic, with an eye on furthering its spread throughout Ireland and the UK. Minority shareholders Alan Denver and Ivan Bradford will continue to advise McNeill and Du Boulay on strategic matters. David Atkinson, a senior investment manager at Panoramic, oversaw the company's investment in APS.
Management received guidance on corporate finance from Richard Moorehead of HNH Capital. Andrew Jennings and Kendra McCullough from Shoosmiths offered legal counsel to Panoramic. With the help of David Holt and Colin McCrann, Consilium Chartered Accountants performed the financial due diligence. Bernard Dunn of TL Dallas provided the necessary research on insurance. Edwards & Co. offered legal counsel to management.
"APS has demonstrated a track record of profitable growth over 20 years and developed a great reputation for design and service in the industry. We are pleased to support Gary and Chris in providing funding to build on the company’s success,” said David Atkinson.
