Aluminium futures rise on global cues, spot demand
Tracking firmness in base metals overseas coupled with strong demand at domestic spot markets, aluminium prices edged up 0.19 per cent to INR 103.70 per kg in futures trade today as participants’ enlarged positions.

Marketmen said apart from increased domestic demand, a firming trend in the base metals in global market, supported the upside in aluminium futures.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery this month inched up 20 paise, or 0.19 per cent, to INR 107.75 per kg, in a business turnover of 270 lots.

The metal for delivery in June rose by a similar margin to trade at INR 104.60 per kg in 11 lots.
