
According to the International Aluminium Institute, alumina production in Europe (including Russia) stood at 872,000 tonnes in October 2021. That was an increase of 34,000 tonnes or 4.06 per cent from 838,000 tonnes in September. However, the production in September had recorded a fall of 8.32 per cent of 76,000 tonnes from 914,000 tonnes in August.

When compared to the last year, alumina output in Europe (incl. Russia) in October 2021 stood 1.40 per cent or 12,000 tonnes higher than 860,000 tonnes.
From January to October, alumina production in Europe amounted to 8.674 million tonnes, flaunting a surge of 129.53 per cent from 3.779 million tonnes during the same period last year.
World alumina production in October 2021 totalled 11.601 million tonnes, up by 3.71 per cent from 11.186 million tonnes in September. On a year-on-year basis, the output increased by 5.11per cent from 11.037 million tonnes, found IAI data.

From January to October, global alumina production recorded at 115.524 million tonnes (including both chemical and metallurgical-grade).
