Alumina price on constant decline to RMB2995/t; A00 China aluminium ingot price shrinks by RMB80/t

Today's alumina spot price in China has stopped at RMB 2,995 per tonne, declining by RMB 1 per tonne, as found in the SMM data. The alumina price in Shanxi has dropped by RMB 5 per tonne to halt at RMB 2,920 per tonne. The Australian alumina FOB price has decreased by US$ 4 per tonne, closing at US$ 356 per tonne.

A00 aluminium ingot price has decreased by RMB 80 per tonne to stand at RMB 20,530 per tonne, as recorded by the Shanghai Metals Market on Wednesday, May 25. The average prices are estimated to range between RMB 20,510 per tonne and RMB 20,550 per tonne, with spot contracts to be traded at a discount price of RMB 30 per tonne and a premium price of RMB 10 per tonne.

China has seen ups and downs in the aluminium ingot price this Wednesday. In Chong Qing, the primary aluminium ingot price has witnessed the highest decline by RMB 90 per tonne to RMB 20,530 per tonne, followed by RMB 80 per tonne cut in Tianjin to RMB 20,480 per tonne. In Wuxi and Linyi, the aluminium ingot prices have plunged by RMB 80 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,520 per tonne and RMB 20,580 per tonne, respectively. Gongyi has witnessed a price decrease of RMB 70 per tonne, resulting in RMB 20,540 per tonne, while aluminium ingot price in Hangzhou drooped down RMB 50 per tonne to stand at RMB 20,580 per tonne. Lastly, the aluminium price in Foshan came in at RMB 20,520 per tonne, and the price in Shenyang has recorded at RMB 20,480 per tonne, the former with RMB 80 per tonne cut and the latter with RMB 60 per tonne decline.

In China, the domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has dropped by RMB 78 per tonne to stand at RMB 21,135 per tonne as of May 25.

The prices of high purity aluminium (99.99%) and high purity aluminium (99.996%) have shrunk by RMB 100 per tonne, stopping at RMB 28,600 per tonne and RMB 29,600 per tonne, respectively. The average price of high purity aluminium (99.99%) hovered between RMB 28,100 per tonne and RMB 29,100 per tonne this Wednesday.

The price of aluminium alloys (ADC12) has fallen by RMB 100 per tonne to stand at RMB 21,000 per tonne, as per the SMM data. The average prices are likely to range between RMB 20,900 per tonne and RMB 21,100 per tonne.

Similarly, the aluminium alloy (A380) price and aluminium alloy (A356) price have recorded a downfall of RMB 100 per tonne to rest at RMB 22,000 per tonne and RMB 21,650 per tonne.

The price of aluminium powder has settled at RMB 22.40 per kg, seeing a dip of RMB 0.10 per kg, with average prices ranging between RMB 22.30 per kg and RMB 22.50 per kg.
