Aludium appoints Lionel Chapis as new Chief Executive Officer

Aludium has recently announced that it appointed Lionel Chapis as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer, with effect from March 1, 2020. Chapis recently worked with Consetellium as a Managing Director, Automotive Solutions, and brings more than two decades of total experience in the aluminium industry.

Oliver Bell, who has served Constellium as Interim Chief Executive Officer, will support Chapis during the transition period through March and then continue in his role as member of the Board of Directors and Operating Partner of Atlas Holdings, which owns Aludium.

“We are extremely pleased to announce that Lionel Chapis has agreed to join our team and serve as Aludium’s next Chief Executive Officer,’ Bell said.

He added, “Having served in several senior leadership roles at companies across the aluminum industry, Lionel is uniquely qualified to lead our team and build upon the strong foundation we have in place today. Lionel is passionate about what we do here at Aludium, and has a strong track record of developing and executing growth strategies and delivering bottom-line results. He’s a great fit, and we’re excited to welcome him to our team.”

Expressing gratitude and thanking Oliver and Aludium’s entire team, Chapis said: “I am very excited and grateful for the opportunity to join Aludium and help lead the company into this next chapter.”
