The world’s largest aluminium smelter ex-China, Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), held its first workshop “One Team, One Goal” in the Executive Education Series for 2020 on 30th January, for its Executives, Directors, and Managers at the Alba Club.

The Leadership Workshop was held in cooperation with the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF). The single-day team building Workshop embraced a series of group interactive activities, focused on key four areas – enhancing team spirit, creative problem solving, and negotiation and time management. This all will help to transform leadership skills and find new avenues to achieve the Company’s goals.
Spoken on this occasion, Alba’s Acting Chief Executive Officer Ali Al Baqali said: “Team alignment and synchronization is a must to steer the organization to meet its objectives especially with the headwinds we face in today’s world.
Through the ‘One Team, One Goal’ Workshop, we aim to further align our teams and adopt different tools to achieve higher performance and efficiency.”
On his part, the Director of the BIBF, Dr Ahmed Al Shaikh said: “As part of the BIBF’s core beliefs, we consider organizational functions more efficient when we employ team dynamics, and we are glad to collaborate with Alba to achieve this goal through this team-building initiative. This exercise provides realistic experiences that empower individuals to contribute towards common goals where boundaries will be broken to collaborate towards achieving their objectives and work together more effectively as team members.”
The major highlight of this Workshop was the combined learning experience which needs to be contributed to the society for being a responsible citizen.
One of the team’s activities was to assemble bicycles by using the techniques learned in the Workshop which were then donated to orphans in our community.
The ‘One Team, One Goal’ Workshop will also be held for Alba employees, both management and non-management within the first quarter of 2020.
