
Advance Fenestration (Pty) Ltd, an Edenvale-based company that manufactures and installs traditional architectural aluminium fenestration (windows and doors) and other more energy-efficient aluminium products which are suitable for modern residential and commercial applications.
Advance Fenestration (Pty) Ltd has been announced as one of the 15 finalists to be participating in the 2016 Entrepreneur of the Year competition. Out of the 213 entries this year, they were two of the lucky participants to go to the finals.
Mr Lucas van Wyk and Mr Eben Rootman from the firm who have been innovating and upgrading their business to the needs of the hour are elated on their selection.
“From the time we received our first order, we set up everything in the short space of three weeks,” they said.
Starting from a very basic family business, the company has grown over the years and now giving competition to bigger players in the high-end residential, commercial and retail market segments in South and Southern Africa.
“We would like to congratulate and commend all entrants, as these are the individuals who bring about positive change and fuel job growth, helping the South African economy and communities to grow,” said Gugu Mjadu, spokesperson for the 2016 Entrepreneur of the Year competition.
The finalists of the competition can win prizes worth R2 million, which includes cash prizes to the value of R425 000.
According to the spokesperson for the 2016 competition, other than the monetary gains, earlier finalists have benefited to a great extent from the various networking opportunities and the media exposure that comes from the competition and the event.
The names of the final winners will be announced in September.
