The EU aluminium scrap market could face disruption if proposed changes to the Waste Shipment Regulation (WSR) restrict access to major Asian recycling destinations, the Bureau of International Recycling (BIR) has warned. The Chhattisgarh government is determined to revive an aluminium park proposal, initially submitted in 2021, to support small-scale industries in Korba. About 140 hectares of land were required to develop the Park, but the plan was put on hold for the past few years.
