Description
Silicon manganese is a ferroalloy composed primarily of manganese, silicon and iron, along with carbon and other elements. Manufactured in China, it is mainly used in steel production as a composite deoxidizer and alloying agent. The product is available in 65/17 and 60/14 grades with multiple size options for metallurgical applications.

- C: 2.5%
- P: 0.3%
- S: 0.05%
- Sizes: 10-50 mm, 10-60 mm and 10-70 mm
Features:
- Silicon manganese combines manganese and silicon for use in metallurgical processing. The strong affinity of manganese and silicon with oxygen supports its application as a composite deoxidizing material in steelmaking.
- It is mainly used as an intermediate material for deoxidation and alloying during steel production. The alloy also serves as a raw material for producing medium- and low-carbon ferromanganese.
Applications:
Silicon manganese is widely used in steelmaking as a deoxidizer and alloying agent. Different silicon manganese alloys may also be used in low-carbon iron smelting and other metal-smelting applications, depending on the required composition.
The product is offered by a manufacturer based in China in different grades and particle sizes to meet steelmaking and ferroalloy production requirements.
