Features:
- Ferro silicon is primarily used as a deoxidizing and alloying material in steelmaking. Due to the strong affinity between silicon and oxygen, it assists in the deoxidation process during steel production. It is also used as an inoculant in cast iron production and for increasing silicon content in cast iron and steelmaking applications.
- The availability of FeSi72, FeSi75 and low-aluminium FeSi75 grades provides options for different metallurgical requirements. Multiple lump, granular and mesh sizes are available for different processing and addition methods.
Applications:
Ferro silicon is used in steelmaking as a deoxidizer and silicon addition material. It is also used in cast iron production as an inoculant and in applications requiring adjustment of silicon content. These uses are consistent with established applications of FeSi72 and FeSi75 in steelmaking and foundry operations.
