TVS Group's Venu Srinivasan's son Sudarshan Venu on Sundaram Clayton board

Twenty-two-year-old Sudarshan Venu, the son of TVS Group's most visible member, Venu Srinivasan, on Friday joined the board of key group company Sundaram Clayton - a maker of aluminium die-casting and also an investment arm inside the group.

"He is a non-executive and non-independent director of the company," the company said in a filing to stock exchanges.

Sudarshan's qualifications include a Masters in International Technology Management from Warwick Manufacturing Group (belonging to the University of Warwick). He had also obtained two bachelor of science degrees - one in engineering and the other in economics. While pursuing his masters, he underwent training in the die-casting division of the company, and also in TVS Motors.
