
A00 aluminium ingot price has plunged by RMB 20 per tonne, resting at RMB 18,800 per tonne, as the Shanghai Metals Market recorded on Friday, December 23. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 18,780 per tonne and RMB 18,820 per tonne, with spot contracts trading at premium prices of RMB 140 per tonne and RMB 180 per tonne.

Most of the provinces in China experienced the pangs of declining prices today, with only one exception, Hangzhou, where the aluminium price has hovered at RMB 18,850 per tonne, with an addition of RMB 20 per tonne. Other than that, the aluminium prices in Chongqing, Shenyang, Tianjin and Linyi have all lost RMB 20 per tonne, closing at RMB 18,810 per tonne, RMB 18,750 per tonne, RMB 18,800 per tonne and RMB 18,770 per tonne, respectively. In Wuxi, the aluminium price shed RMB 15 per tonne, clocking at RMB 18,805 per tonne, while in Gongyi, the aluminium price dropped down to RMB 18,660 per tonne, with RMB 10 per tonne loss. Only in Foshan the price of aluminium remained stagnant at RMB 18,830 per tonne.
In China, the domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has soared by RMB 70 per tonne to stand at RMB 19,412 per tonne on Friday, December 23.
The prices of high-purity aluminium (99.99%) and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) have refrained from any change.
The average alumina spot price in China has jumped up the graph by RMB 7 per tonne to rest at RMB 2,927 per tonne. The alumina price in Shandong has gained RMB 15 per tonne, closing at RMB 2,910 per tonne, while the alumina price in Guangxi has seen RMB 10 per tonne spike to arrive at RMB 2,850 per tonne. The prices of alumina in Shanxi and Guizhou have both been boosted by RMB 5 per tonne, officially closing at RMB 2,965 per tonne and RMB 2,840 per tonne.
The price of aluminium powder in China has shown no change today.
