China’s A00 aluminium ingot price plunges RMB240/t to close the week; Aluminium alloy A356 loses RMB250/t

A00 aluminium ingot price has plummeted by RMB 240 per tonne to close at RMB 18,110 per tonne, as the Shanghai Metals Market recorded on Friday, September 2. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 18,090 per tonne and RMB 18,130 per tonne, with spot contracts trading at discount prices of RMB 50 per tonne and RMB 10 per tonne.

The provinces in China have witnessed a plunge in aluminium prices today, with A00 aluminium ingot prices dropping the highest in Wuxi and Hangzhou by RMB 240 per tonne to RMB 18,100 per tonne and RMB 18,150 per tonne, respectively. The prices of aluminium in Foshan, Chongqing and Linyi recorded an RMB 210 per tonne downfall to settle at RMB 18,030 per tonne, RMB 18,140 per tonne and 18,190 per tonne. The primary aluminium prices in Gongyi and Shenyang have nosedived by RMB 200 per tonne to close at RMB 18,070 per tonne and RMB 18,150 per tonne. Only in Tianjin the aluminium price has marked an RMB 160 per tonne slump to close the week at RMB 18,210 per tonne.

In China, the domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has lost RMB 210 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,633 per tonne on Friday, September 2.

According to the data shown by SMM, high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high purity aluminium (99.996%) price have been downsized by RMB 200 per tonne each to rest at RMB 26,300 per tonne and RMB 27,300 per tonne, respectively.

The aluminium alloy (A356) price has slipped down the graph by RMB 250 per tonne arriving at RMB 19,450 per tonne. The average prices are likely to range between RMB 19,300 per tonne and RMB 19,600 per tonne, says SMM.

The prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have shed RMB 150 per tonne coming in at RMB 19,000 per tonne and RMB 20,000 per tonne. The price of aluminium alloys (ADC12) hovered between RMB 18,900 per tonne and RMB 19,100 per tonne. The price of aluminium alloy (A380) hit RMB 19,900 per tonne to RMB 20,100 per tonne bar.

The aluminium powder price in China has dropped RMB 0.20 per kg to settle at RMB 20.10 per kg, with average prices ranging between RMB 20 per kg and RMB 20.20 per kg.
