China’s A00 aluminium ingot price gains RMB140/t to RMB 19,470/t; Australian alumina FOB price moves up by US$2/t

On Friday, March 29, China's A00 aluminium ingot price increased by RMB 140 per tonne to arrive at RMB 19,470 per tonne. The spot contract price is expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 130 per tonne and RMB 90 per tonne. The average price may be between RMB 19,450 per tonne and RMB 19,490 per tonne.

As per the SMM data, the price in Linyi has ascended by RMB 140 per tonne to reach RMB 19,470 per tonne. On the same day, the domestic aluminium ingot prices in Gongyi and Foshan have grown by RMB 130 per tonne, settling at RMB 19,360 per tonne and RMB 19,400 per tonne. In Tianjin and Wuxi the A00 aluminium ingot price has also recorded the same price growth to peg at RMB 19,470 per tonne and RMB 19,450 per tonne. In Hangzhou, the price has increased by RMB 120 per tonne to RMB 19,450 per tonne. Chongqing and Shenyang's prices increased by RMB 60 per tonne to clock at RMB 19,300 per tonne and RMB 19,390 per tonne.

The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has increased by RMB 134 per tonne to RMB 20,336 per tonne. The high-purity aluminium (99.99%) and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) prices have gained RMB 150 per tonne to RMB 26,900 per tonne and RMB 27,900 per tonne, respectively.

According to the data, the average alumina spot price has lost RMB 4 per tonne to reach RMB 3,304 per tonne. In Henan, the price slumped by RMB 10 per tonne to RMB 3,335 per tonne. In Shanxi, the price has dropped by RMB 5 per tonne to reach RMB 3,270 per tonne.

The Australian alumina FOB price has increased by US$2 per tonne to US$369 per tonne. The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has hiked by RMB 150 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,050 per tonne, with the average prices standing between RMB 19,900 per tonne and RMB 20,000 per tonne.
