Melbourne-based coffee roasters, Thieves has created a new subscription plan to include 100% recyclable Nespresso-compatible coffee pods. As these capsules are usually made of aluminium, the brand is also offering a free recycling service.
Thieves already had a subscription plan where the customers could pick beans to be delivered from different Australian roasters every month. And now, with their capsule service plans, they are going to attract more coffee lovers.
Each month the user has to log on to the Thieves’ website and order the number of coffee pods they would like to have along with the coffee bags of various quantities. At a time, the minimum number of aluminium coffee pods ordered must be ten, while the maximum shipment can be five hundred. The brand has perfectly set up a doorstep delivery scheme, with the user being able to customise each shipment according to the requirement.
The Thieves coffee subscription service will have a great future in the Australian market as it is very easy to hook on to the delicacies the brand offers because of the simple delivery and collection pattern. The brand also ships internationally, offering the same scheme.
To top everything, one can choose the type of coffee pod one would like, which is either biodegradable or aluminium. In the latter’s case, the brand also offers a free recycling programme working closely with TerraCycle so that the aluminium coffee pods may be successfully recycled at the end of their lives.
The customer only has to send the aluminium coffee pods with a pre-paid shipping label, and TerraCycle takes up the job of recycling the pod from there. The scheme is responsible for bringing the aluminium pods back to a place where they can be recycled, lowering carbon footprints in the long run.
