The Netherlands Aluminium structures export shows strong market during 2017-20

The Netherlands is the ninth largest export economy of the world, exporting $435 billion of goods each year as recorded in 2019. The country shows a positive trade balance of $42.8 billion after deducting annual imports of $393 billion.

The Netherlands has a 4.6% share of the annual $37.2 billion raw aluminium market and it is the sixth-largest exporter in the world. Germany is the largest export destination for the Netherlands' raw aluminium exports and they take 55% of the Dutch annual export total of $1.71 billion. The Netherlands is home to one of the primary aluminium smelting operations in the world, which is based in Delfzijl.

The Netherlands aluminium structures export during 2017-19 stood at 121,755 tonnes and the foreign exchange earned during the same period was accounted to $793.22 million.

The projected export for 2020 is 43,778 tonnes and when added with 2017-19 export figures it stands to 165,533tonnes and the foreign earning accounts to $1.06 billion.

In 2017 the Netherlands aluminium export stood at 44,250 tonnes and the amounted reflected was $258.27 million, whereas in 2018 the export shows de-growth of 9.81%, the volume stood at 39,905 tonnes. The amount earned rose to $277.46 million due to the increase in the price.

The Aluminium structure export in 2019 again showed a dip both in earnings and volume. The volume stood at 37,600 tonnes and the earning stood 257.49 tonnes.

The projection for 2020 is showing a positive trend as the total volume could reach 43,778 tonnes, a rise of 16.43%, whereas the revenue generation rose to $267.18 million.

The Netherlands has been exporting aluminium structures to multiple countries like USA, UK, UAE, South Africa, India, Spain, Mexico, Malaysia, Germany, Egypt, Denmark, Australia, Canada, etc.
