Teisseire, the well-known French syrup brand with 300 years old history, will introduce a new range of syrups to its company profile in Belgium. The four new syrups will arrive in 100 per cent recyclable aluminium bidons and are compatible only with soda machines.

Teisseire develops exclusively created flavoured syrups that enhance the taste of simple drinks. With the recently introduced soda machine range, the brand is winning hearts as the machine is simple enough to be installed in residential zones so that customers might get flavoured sparkling water at home.

The four latest flavours – Strawberry, Lime & Mint; Blood Orange, Orange Zero Sugar and Cherry Cola Zero Sugar – have specifically been developed for soda machines and here comes Britvic to the rescue. To maintain the sustainability standards of Britvic, 100 per cent recyclable aluminium bidons have been used to contain the syrups. Moreover, this aligns with Britvic's Healthier People, Healthier Planet sustainability programme.

Aluminium does not have any distinct taste; therefore, anything kept in an aluminium enclosure for a long period can retain its perfect flavour, odour and taste. This is the reason why aluminium is extensively used in food or beverage packaging.

Each aluminium bidon entangled with the soda machine has the capability to flavour almost seven litres of sparkling water.

The brand was heavily instigated by the use of metal bidons in the famous Tour de France cycling contest during the 1957s and thus began the journey of using aluminium bidons to store their flagship syrups.

The Sustainable Business Director at Britvic, Sarah Webster, commented: "Enabling syrup lovers to flavour sparkling water at home is a key milestone on our sustainability journey. It reduces the volume of packaged liquid transported on our roads which helps lower our carbon footprint."

These Teisseire aluminium bottles have a dosing cap atop from which the flavour is dispersed into the customer's sparkling water, and a user can experience the joy of drinking a flavoured drink or cocktail at home.

Britvic is an innovator when it comes to metal packaging and, at this moment, is engrossed in coming up with Beyond the Bottle schemes for its users so that flavourful beverages can be availed on the go, at work, and even in bars and clubs. The strategy revolves around producing sustainable packaging solutions to help reduce the use of plastic.
