Tapas Kumar Pattanayak named as the new HR Director of Nalco

In a significant decision by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB), Tapas Kumar Pattanayak has been selected for the role of Director (Human Resources) at the National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO). The appointment follows a PESB meeting held on October 21^st, 2024.

Currently serving as the Executive Director (HR) at the Refineries Headquarters in New Delhi under the Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Pattanayak brings a wealth of experience in human resource management to his new position at NALCO, one of India's premier aluminium producers.

His selection to the post of Director (HR) at NALCO is subject to the necessary vigilance clearances and final approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC). Once these formalities are completed, Pattanayak will officially assume his new role, where he is expected to play a key part in driving the HR strategy for NALCO's workforce.

This move underscores the government's continued focus on leveraging top talent across its Maharatna and Navratna enterprises to strengthen leadership across strategic sectors.
