This pivotal shipbuilding contract underscores Strategic Marine's commitment to incorporating aluminium advancements into marine engineering. The vessel, a 42-meter marvel, boasts a robust structure built with high-grade aluminium, ensuring not only durability but also optimal performance in offshore environments.

A few more mentionable features of the state-of-the-art 4th Generation Fast Crew Boat (FCB)

In a strategic move towards future-ready capabilities, the vessel is designed to seamlessly integrate a gyro stabiliser and offers the flexibility for a motion-compensated gangway installation. Additionally, aligning with sustainable practices, the vessel is equipped to accommodate a plug-and-play hybrid system, allowing certain operations to be undertaken solely on battery power.

The propulsion system of this aluminium masterpiece features a triple Baudouin 12M26.3s, coupled with ZF3050s, delivering impressive speeds exceeding 27.5 knots. The vessel's efficiency in emergency scenarios is enhanced with an external FIFI system and an Oil Dispersant System, making it an invaluable asset for firefighting and oil cleanup operations.

Noteworthy manoeuvrability features include a single bow thruster and auto-trimming interceptors, providing the ship captain with intuitive control over the vessel. The interior is designed with a cruise-like experience, featuring larger windows, reclining chairs with tray tables, and USB charging for passengers, ensuring both comfort and convenience.

The Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Marine, Mr Chan Eng Yew, expressed his delight, stating: "We are honoured to be selected for this prestigious project with Amarco Sdn Bhd, serving the demanding Bruneian offshore oil and gas sector. Our expertise in aluminium shipbuilding aligns perfectly with the evolving needs of the maritime industry."

The Chairman of Amarco Sdn Bhd, Mr Ariffin Masrah, echoed the sentiment, saying: "We are excited about working with Strategic Marine on this project, confident that the aluminium-built vessel will significantly contribute to our fleet operations in Brunei's waters."

What does this collaboration bring on the plate?

This collaboration signifies a leap forward in aluminium shipbuilding technology, showcasing the versatility and strength of aluminium alloys in constructing advanced vessels for the demanding offshore industry. The integration of future-ready features and sustainable practices underscores the industry's commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility.
