Vincent Faujour, CEO of the Piriou Group based in Concarneau said “With this new contract, Piriou confirms its positioning as the French leader in the construction of aluminium vessels. This signature constitutes the 250th order for an aluminium ship built by Piriou! Our construction versatility allows us to integrate without prior several parameters, including speed, length, consumption, fire safety, construction cost, maintenance cost, as well as the environmental impact of the ship over its entire life cycle. Depending on the user profile of the vessel, we offer the best compromise on the choice of steel and/or aluminium construction. Aluminium is suitable for certain projects (passenger ships, speedboats for wind and oil and gas support, coastal patrol vessels). "
Scheduled for delivery in late 2020, the ship will be operated in the waters of the Persian Gulf.
