The West African nation’s import of aluminium bar rods and profiles during 2018-19 was recorded at 3547 tonnes and the revenue expended for the import stood at $ 11.18 million. The import for 2020 remained at 11,219 tonnes and the foreign revenue expended stood at $24.53 million. However, when the import volume and expenditure for 2020 gets assorted with the existing two years, it signifies 14,766 tonnes and $35.71 million respectively.

Senegal’s import of aluminium bar rods and profiles in 2018 remained at 560 tonnes only and the expenditure accounted was $2.70 million, whereas, in 2019 the import reflected growth by 433.39%, as the import grew to 2987 tonnes and the revenue expenditure rose to $8.48 million.
The import for 2020 exhibited a skyrocketing growth by 275.60%, as the import jumped to 11,219 tonnes and the expenditures shot up to $24.53.
Senegal’s major trading nations for the importation of aluminium bar rods and profiles are China, France, Germany, Morocco, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, etc.
