The demand for luminium tubes and pipes will continue to increase in the years ahead. Aluminium pipes are the 683rd most traded product and the 422nd most complex product, according to the Product Complexity Index (PCI).
Romania’s exports of commodities increased to 5422.90 EUR million in January 2018 from 4493.60 EUR million in December 2017.The country’s exports of aluminium tubes and pipes have increased during the last three years. Romania’s export of this product is projected to drop in 2018.

According to recent estimates, in 2016, Romania exported 10427 tonnes of aluminium tubes and pipes. The total revenue from aluminium tubes and pipes export amounts to about US$ 31 million. The country exported an estimated 11026 tonnes of aluminium tubes and pipes globally in 2017. The total revenue from the export stood at US$ 67 million.

In 2018, aluminium tubes and pipes export by Romania is estimated to decline to 9864 tonnes and the revenue from export is estimated to be about US$ 59million.
Germany is the top importer of aluminium tubes and pipes from the country. Germany imported about 3396 tonnes of aluminium tubes and pipes last year. According to recent statistics, other top countries that imported aluminium tubes and pipes from Romania in 2017 were Austria (2264 tonnes), Netherlands (1350 tonnes), Denmark (1167 tonnes), and Belgium (1008 tonnes).
