Primary aluminium recap: Strong momentum in the latter half of 2023 drives global primary aluminium production to new heights

In the fourth week of the year, the global primary aluminium segment recorded many significant events. To begin with, in 2023, the International Aluminium Institute (IAI) reported a 2.25 per cent annual rise in global primary aluminium production, reaching 70.593 million tonnes by the end of December.
