China’s A00 aluminium ingot price opens the week with a drop of RMB150/t; Low carbon aluminium price falls by RMB172/t

China’s A00 aluminium ingot price opened the week on Monday, July 25, with a drop of RMB 150 per tonne, after witnessing a hike on Friday, July 22. As per the SMM data, the price for July 25 closed at RMB 17,840 per tonne, with average prices expected to range between RMB 17,820 per tonne and RMB 17,860 per tonne. The spot contracts price is expected to trade at a discount price of RMB 30 per tonne to a premium price of RMB 10 per tonne.

The price of aluminium ingot has experienced a downfall in all the major Chinese provinces. In Shenyang, the price has plunged the highest by RMB 180 per tonne to settle at RMB 17,840 per tonne. In Tianjin and Linyi, the price has slumped by RMB 170 per tonne to halt at RMB 17,870 per tonne and RMB 17,900 per tonne. In Gongyi and Wuxi, the price has declined by RMB 150 per tonne to stand at RMB 17,840 per tonne, respectively. In Foshan, the price has tumbled down from RMB 160 per tonne to peg at RMB 17,770 per tonne. On the same day in Hangzhou and Chongqing, the price descended by RMB 140 per tonne to record at RMB 17,890 per tonne and RMB 17,850 per tonne.

The domestic price of low carbon aluminium has dwindled by RMB 172 per tonne to close at RMB 18,363 per tonne.

As per the SMM data, the high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and the high purity aluminium (99.996%) plummeted by RMB 200 per tonne to score at RMB 25,800 per tonne and RMB 26,800 per tonne.

The prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12), aluminium alloy (A356) and aluminium alloy (A380) have declined by RMB 150 per tonne. The price of aluminium alloys (ADC12) has halted at RMB 17,450 per tonne, with average prices expected to range between RMB 17,350 per tonne and RMB 17,550 per tonne. As per the SMM data, the price of aluminium alloy (A356) closed at RMB 18,950 per tonne, with average prices expected to orbit between RMB 18,900 per tonne and RMB 19,000 per tonne. The price of aluminium alloy (A380) settled at RMB 18,450 per tonne, with average prices expected to range between RMB 18,350 per tonne and RMB 18,550 per tonne.

The aluminium powder price went down by RMB 0.2 per kg to stand at RMB 19.6 per kg, with average prices ranging between RMB 19.5 per kg to RMB 19.7 per kg.
