Taking place from December 4 to 6 in Nagpur, India, this conference focuses on the "Latest Technological Developments in Alumina and Aluminium Production."

Conference highlights:

  • Post-conference visit: To the HINDALCO Mouda Plant
  • Abstract submissions: Exceeding 60 in number
  • Company engagement: Involving over 80 prominent firms
  • Expected delegates: Anticipating a turnout of over 200 participants

The aluminium industry has witnessed remarkable growth in countries like China, India, Guinea, and Brazil, with Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, and Indonesia gearing up for substantial investments in bauxite development.

The global push towards a low-carbon future adds another layer of complexity, urging the aluminium industry to reduce CO2 emissions and mitigate the greenhouse effect. The International Bauxite, Alumina & Aluminium Society (IBAAS) has emerged, comprising leading scientists, engineers, managers, and industry experts in response to these challenges. The organisation aims to address issues related to bauxite geology, mining, beneficiation, alumina refining, and aluminium smelting technology, especially in Asia.

Initially focusing on the Asian region, with a particular emphasis on India, China, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, IBAAS aims to expand its activities to include BRIC countries, seeking collaboration with similar organisations in the US, Australia, and Canada.

As the countdown begins for the mega aluminium event in India, scheduled in just seven days, a diverse array of organisations is gearing up to participate. From the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative in Australia to local entities like Ashapura and Archimedes Engineers in India, the event promises a convergence of global expertise.

Key participants include major players such as Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) from the UAE, Hindalco Industries Limited and NALCO from India, and AKW Apparate + Verfahren GmbH from Germany. The extensive list features a mix of sizeable primary metal producers and small-scale industries producing value-added bauxite, alumina, and aluminium products.

The event is a meeting ground for industry giants and a collaboration and knowledge exchange space. With the ambitious goal of promoting sustainable growth and innovation, IBAAS-JNARDDC 2023 is a milestone in the global bauxite, alumina, and aluminium industry journey.

AL Circle proudly supports this prestigious event as a media partner. To register or learn more, visit IBAAS-JNARDDC 2023. Don't miss out on this milestone event in the global bauxite, alumina, and aluminium industry.
