Kosei prefers RUSAL for supply of high-quality Primary Foundry Aluminium Alloys

Kosei, the global wheel and auto components manufacturer has preferred Rusal for the supply of high-quality Primary Foundry Aluminium Alloys, as announced by the leader of the global aluminium industry.

Established in 1950, Kosei designs and manufactures wheels, auto parts and components. It has 14 facilities operating in seven countries with a truly international reach. For the past thirty years, RUSAL has worked closely with the Company, delivered primary foundry aluminium alloys to Kosei factories in India, Japan, Thailand and the USA.

RUSAL is among the world’s leading producers of low-carbon aluminium. Its ALLOW brand of low-carbon aluminium comes with an average carbon footprint of 2.4 tonnes of CO2 equivalent per tonne of aluminium produced (Scope 1&2, at smelter) which is several times lower than the global average of around 12 t (Scope 1&2, at smelter).

Kosei prefers RUSAL for supply of high-quality PFA

Kosei uses Rusal’s ALLOW to produce wheels and essential components for multiple globally renowned brands: Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Suzuki, Mazda, Subaru, Mahindra, Isuzu, Daihatsu, among others. The use of the ‘green’ metal in its products complements Kosei’s advanced engineering and innovative processes to produce best-in-class aluminium products for a range of applications, from cars, to bikes, to boats, to jet skis.

In 2019, RUSAL became a member of the Japan Climate Leaders’ Partnership (JCLP), a powerful coalition of businesses seeking to advance the goals of decarbonisation and sustainable business. RUSAL joined the 163 companies of the JCLP and contributes to its important work, which focuses on the communication of business trends, innovations and analysis for a low-carbon, and ultimately a carbon-free, future.
