Jinjiang Group to build 2 million-tpy alumina using coal ash in Inner Mongolia

Jinjiang Group inked an agreement with the government of Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, over 2 million-tpy alumina production from coal ash, a waste of byproduct from thermal power generation, cnmn website reported today.
Thermal power plants in Hohhot generate up to over 10 million mt of alumina-rich coal ash each year, providing sufficient input for alumina refining, it added.
