Here is an excerpt from a brief interview with Mr Alessandro Cesana, Director, Metalbeaters Limited.

AlCircle: Please tell us in brief about the scope of operations for Metalbeaters Limited.
Mr Cesana: Metalbeaters’ scope of operation is to deliver the best pricing, for the finest master alloys and alloying elements quality to our customers, in the least amount of time.
AlCircle: Which metallurgical sectors does your company cater to?
Mr Cesana: Our target consumer sector is non-ferrous metal sector. Wherever a non-ferrous melting factory is, we strive to be there as a supplier.
AlCircle: What is your outlook on the growth potential of metal alloys in present times?
Mr Cesana: International political instability and paradigm changes are a cause to the great shifts we are observing in the alloys manufacturing and industrial output. “No more” sentences on green economy and renewed military skirmishes are in fact a ground to look at, for alloys growth potential too.
AlCircle: LME aluminium prices have seen the highest rise in seven years in 2018. How is higher aluminium price influencing your business decisions?
Mr Cesana: A neutral approach is the only manner for us to run. The company is highly specialised on economic and financial scenario’s forecasting. Allowing us to be in the right moment and place, while addressing our customer’s, with the right purchasing conditions, given the international exchanges bids.

AlCircle: Metalbeaters Limited is a UK based company. Do you think US import tariffs on steel and aluminium would have an impact on your company?
Mr Cesana: Extraordinary swifts are occurring in the markets, as a high degree of volatility and change is following the current capital costs and competitions, both in EU and US. We intend to keep a prudent forecast on these tariff scenarios. A good deal maker is buying low and selling high. Is the US going for an antigravity strategy, or can they afford it in a core and strategic market? I don’t see the possibility in the mid and long term.
AlCircle: Does Metalbeaters Limited supply only in UK and EU or export to other destinations?
Mr Cesana: The Metalbeaters has an open outlook as far as business is concerned. We would like to prove ourselves on open waters scenarios and hope to be running internationally, to deliver our passion for fine alloying elements; customer satisfaction’s and total team reliability.
