India: Integrated metal producing company ‘Shyam Metalics’ looking to diversify in aluminium foil business
The leading integrated metal producing company based in India ‘Shyam Metalics’ with a focus on long steel products and ferroalloys is looking to diversify in the aluminium foil business.
The company is the largest producers of ferroalloys in terms of installed capacity in India, as of February 2021
The proposed cold rolling mill for manufacturing aluminium foils will have a capacity of around 40,000 tonnes per annum and is expected to be accomplished by the end of FY-22.
According to Brij Bhushan Agarwal, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director: “The aluminium foil business would offer good margins thereby contributing to the profitability of the group.
The company is hopeful of the growing exports demand backed by steady order from international markets.
