Imports of aluminium powder and flakes by France during 2019-21 range from a marginal decline to a sharp increase; 10% dip estimated for 2022

The use of aluminium powder is widespread in explosives and fireworks production. Its utilization in manufacturing certain electronics is extensive—powdered aluminium is absorbed in many paints and sealants as primarily responsible for colour and hiding power.

The north-western European nation France imported 16,775 tonnes of aluminium powder and flakes during 2019-21, incurring an expenditure of around $44.33 million for the export. In 2019, as classified by World Bank, a wealthy, high-income nation, France imported aluminium powder and flakes of 4240 tonnes, documenting an expenditure of $11.78 million, whereas, in 2020, France witnessed a minor downfall of 1.65% in imports, counting spending of $9.77 million.

France's import of aluminium powder and flakes in 2021 was documented at 8365 tonnes, a sharp rise of 100.59% and an expenditure of $22.78.

The import for 2022 is evaluated with a dip of 10.05%, as the import volume is analyzed to plunge to 7524 tonnes and expenditure to stand at $16.75 million.
