Hubei Province in China exceeded the outdated aluminium capacity elimination target set by the government during the 12th Five-Year Plan period (2011-2015), industry sources reported.
About 127,000 tonnes of outdated aluminium capacity in the province was weeded out during 2011-2015. The number reached far exceeded the 100,000 tonnes target that the Chinese government had set in its last Five-year Plan.
