Hindalco Renukoot joins ASI as the new Production and Transformation member
Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) announced on December 21 that Hindalco Industries Limited had joined ASI as its new Production and Transformation member. The Aditya Birla Group's main firm, Hindalco Industries Limited in Renukoot, India, has been striving since 1962 to create better shareholder value by surpassing customer expectations, being profitable, maximising employee potential, and acting as a good corporate citizen.
Renukoot is an integrated complex that houses an aluminium smelter and fabrication operations together with an alumina refinery. The output of aluminium metal is 420 KTPA. The downstream sector of the company, which includes rolling, extrusion, wire-rod, and primary, was submitted for the ASI Certification.

"Adoption of the ASI stewardship guidelines will enhance our ESG capabilities as well as put us in the top of the league to be an ESG sound Aluminium company," said Mukesh Mittal, Vice President, Hindalco Industries.
