EMAL shares Emirati CSR excellence with international audience

Emirates Aluminium has taken part in major regional and international conferences and forums to share its wealth of experience and successes in Corporate Social Responsibility.

Senior figures from EMAL were on hand to showcase the industrial flagship's impressive record in the field of CSR at recent events in Abu Dhabi.

EMAL was the Gold Sponsor of the Philanthropy in Education and Responsible Social Giving: When Giving is a Reward. The forum, held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, UAE Minister of Youth, Culture, and Community Development, was hosted by the University Leadership Council of the UAE. Yousuf Bastaki, VP Projects Phase II for EMAL was part of a panel forum to discuss the increasingly important role of philanthropy and responsible social contribution towards sustainable development.

Addressing the forum, Bastaki said: “EMAL was established as part of the 2030 Vision to build a bright and prosperous future for everyone in the UAE. As a flagship endeavour of that initiative, we are proud to be in a position to positively contribute to the lives of Emirati citizens and residents. It is a privilege to be able to build and provide careers for nationals, as well as support the community through our various CSR activities.”

Bastaki outlined EMAL’s support for the health of its community by sponsoring and encouraging sports, as well as community facilities to help improve the standards of life for those with disabilities. “Education is also a focus for us. We ensure that the local community continues to benefit from EMAL, as a company that works for the best interests of the people,” added Bastaki.
