DERCHI Doors and Windows has introduced its patented six-point locking technology for aluminium picture windows as demand increases for more secure and energy-efficient building materials across residential and commercial projects.
{alcircleadd}The company said picture windows are increasingly being designed not only for panoramic views but also for stronger structural performance, particularly in regions exposed to extreme weather conditions or where enhanced security is required.

DERCHI compared its Four-Side Six-Point Lock system with conventional window hardware that typically secures the frame at only one or two positions, often along the top or bottom sections. According to the company, such systems can leave parts of the frame less secure and may allow flexing under pressure.
Its locking mechanism distributes six locking points across all four sides of the frame, creating a more uniform connection between the sash and the frame. DERCHI stated that the design improves resistance against forced entry while also helping reduce air leakage and water infiltration. The company added that spreading force across multiple locking points lowers pressure on individual components, helping reduce wear, maintenance needs, and replacement costs over time.

The panoramic windows use titanium magnesium aluminium alloy frames with thicknesses ranging from 1.8 mm to 2.0 mm. The glazing system includes 5mm+27A+5mm double tempered glass filled with argon gas and PVDF aluminium strips positioned between panes. The windows can accommodate fixed panels of up to 12 square metres.
Its windows incorporate a three-layer sealing structure using automotive-grade EPDM sealing strips to improve thermal insulation and weather resistance. Additional glazing options include laminated glass, triple glazing, Low-E glass, reflective glass, tinted glass, and bullet-proof glass for specialised applications. Surface finishes are available in powder coating, anodised, wood grain, and PVDF-coated variants.
