
As updated by Shanghai Metals Market, social inventories of primary aluminium across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, reduced by 54,000 tonnes from the week before to 1.06 million tonnes as of Thursday, 13 May 2021.

Primary aluminium stocks in Gongyi declined the most. The stocks in Gongyi stood at 110,000 tonnes on Thursday, 13 May 2021, down 24,000 tonnes from May 6. In Shanghai, Wuxi and Nanhai, the inventories decreased by 5,000 tonnes, 14,000 tonnes and 10,000 tonnes from last Thursday to stand at 97,000 tonnes, 413,000 tonnes and 260,000 tonnes. Hangzhou stocks remained unchanged at 100,000 tonnes.
Inventories of primary aluminium in Tianjin and Chongqing came in at 60,000 tonnes and 6,000 tonnes on Thursday, 13 May 2021, down 1,000 tonnes from last Thursday. Stocks in Linyi inched up by 1,000 tonnes to 15,000 tonnes as of Thursday.
