
China's exports of unwrought aluminium and aluminium products increased 25.8 percent in the first two months of 2018 from the same period last year. The country exported 817,000 tonnes of unwrought aluminium and aluminium products in January-February 2018.

Chinese exports of unwrought aluminium and aluminium products were down in February. Total exports of these products decreased to 372,000 tonnes in February 2018, According to the latest preliminary data from the General Administration of Customs.
China exported 445,000 tonnes of unwrought aluminium and aluminium products in January 2018, up 14.3 per cent YoY.
In 2017, the country exported 4.79 million tonnes of unwrought aluminium and aluminium product, up 4.5 per cent year on year.
Separately, China has expressed "strong dissatisfaction" with the United States imposing anti-dumping and countervailing duties on Chinese aluminium foils. China will take necessary measures to protect its legal rights and interests in the U.S. wrongdoing, Wang Hejun, the head of MOFCOM's Trade Remedy and Investigation Bureau, said.
U.S. President Donald Trump plans to impose duties of 10 per cent on aluminium to counter cheap imports, especially from China.
