Bristol unveils the Bristol Bullet, its new sports car with an aluminium chassis

<p>British carmaker Bristol has recently unveiled its new sports car, the Bristol Bullet. Powered by a 370bhp 4.8-litre V8, this swanky sports car will mark the 70thanniversary of Bristol. The sales are expected to begin by the end of 2016. <br /><br />Each speedster is hand-made over two weeks at the company&rsquo;s factory in Chichester, Hampshire, and will only be sold through Bristol&rsquo;s iconic dealer in Kensington.</p> <p><img style="vertical-align: middle; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" src="http://www.alcircle.com/uploads/images/bullet1.jpg" alt="News" width="512" height="341" /><br /><br />The main chassis of the Bullet is made of bonded aluminium to maintain its superlight structure and the retro bodywork of the car is crafted from carbon-fibre. Despite the heavy-duty 370bhp V8 engine under the bonnet, the kerbweight of the car is just 1,100kg, as claimed by Bristol. The car claims a pickup of 0-62mph at 3.8 seconds and the top speed is limited to 155mph. <br /><br />BMW manufactures the powertrain and running gear and it is &ldquo;finished&rdquo; by Bristol. The car features naturally-aspirated 4.8-litre V8 engine powering the rear wheels which was also present in the previous-generation BMW X5. The ZF six-speed manual or automatic gearbox is another super feature of the car from BMW. The bonded aluminium chassis features Multimatic coil-over suspension for better control. The brakes are supplied by the engineers of AP Racing. <br /><br />The heart of the mean machine is definitely the super power engine. With no roof the driver is instantly exposed to the thundering burble of V8. The car was tested and reviewed by Auto Express UK who said that torque delivery felt extremely strong despite riding it below 30mph on the passenger ride. The Bullet could become a favourite for collectors, provided it can ensure a quality finish expected from a &pound;250,000 racing car.</p>
