Bilgin shipyard announced two sister yachts from Bilgin 263 series are under construction at the Istanbul shipyard. Turkey’s largest yachts Bilgin 263-I is expected to launch in the latter half of 2019 and Bilgin 263-II is likely to make a debut in 2020.

Bilgin 263-I has achieved 75 per cent of hull number one’s steel hull construction, while Bilgin 263-II has achieved 50 per cent of construction. Aluminium superstructure of hull one has also begun.

These 80-metre superyachts are utilising a super eco-friendly approach in compliance with IMO Tier III certification that aims to reduce nitrogen dioxide emissions (NOx) by about 70 per cent compared to the current Tier II standards.

Both the yachts feature fascinating interiors including bright living areas, extensive saloon and private spaces for the yacht owner, designed by London-based H2 Design Studio in collaboration with Bilgin yacht design team. The exterior is styled by Unique Yacht Design.

Emrecan Öztürk, CEO of Unique Yacht Design comments, "Both exterior and interior areas of Bilgin 263 are full of surprises. To me, the most attractive area is the beach club itself. While designing the yacht, we placed all the tenders and sea toys in the front deck. This is how we managed to connect the beach club with the main saloon. With its 8.50-metre length and 1.40-metre depth, the eternity pool creates an enjoyable atmosphere while offering a relaxing place to socialize with friends."

According to Bilgin Yachts press office, the hulls have minor differences. While the first hull features a lighter and brighter appearance, the second hull has warmer tones throughout its living areas.

Bilgin 263 features two 2560 KW engines at a top speed of up to 20 knots. With a cruising speed of 12 knots her fuel consumption is kept at 250 l/h.
