BHP Billiton Aluminium Production Increases By 2%

BHP Billiton has come out with its production report till the period ending June 2013. The report showed that Aluminium production was up by 2 percent to 1.2 million tonnes from January-June 2013. For the quarter ending June the production was up by 25 percent to 310000 tonnes. Production benefited from strong operating performance at our Southern African smelters during the June 2013 quarter with Hillside (South Africa) achieving record quarterly production.
